The Brief You’ve probably heard of the term ‘heavy industry’, and it doesn’t get much heavier than the work of Timoney Technology. The Navan-based company is a world leader in engineering solutions for heavy vehicles, with cutting-edge clients in the defence, emergency and construction industries. Timoney’s website was showing signs of wear and tear after years of service, and they recruited Matrix to create a new online platform that’s as powerful as an all-terrain army vehicle with a Timoney ride and handling system. We initially focused on creating a smooth user experience (UX) and an intuitive user Interface (UI), helped by an engaging workshop series with Timoney’s key stakeholders, including SWOT analysis, benchmarking and defining their target users. With this foundation, we built a robust and reliable new online platform, with strong, bold fonts, engaging image and video content showing the company’s engineering solutions in the field, and an intuitive menu system for categorising Timoney’s relevant sectors such as defence, construction and fire. We also created a complementary online spare parts web shop that will further drive traffic and conversions, while allowing Timoney to serve its clients instantly across all time zones. The ‘Aftermarket Shop’ is a vast catalogue of essential machine parts, with an intuitive menu and ordering system, a management system for their warehouse in Ireland and the US, and a specific customer discount feature. Timoney Technology is now fully equipped for the future, with a new website doing a lot of the heavy lifting.
