Alzheimer

The Brief

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is the leading service provider for people in Ireland with dementia. The society is not only tasked with raising funds, but its site must also deliver regular news, advice and other updates in a format that is clear and accessible to regular donors, carers, family members and people with early onset dementia.

We approached this complex project with an acute sensitivity to User Experience (UX). After conducting UX workshops with all departments, we developed a Content Mapping plan to reduce the number of pages on the previous site by 70%. We facilitated helpful video content and optimised the site’s eCommerce functionality — leading to an 8% increase in donations year on year.

Most importantly, the new website encourages members of the public to get involved, through simplified event registration as well as donating. We trained staff in WordPress proficiency, and they can now edit pages easily — to facilitate regular blog and news posts, and a greater community reach.

We are proud of this responsive and engaging website that’s sensitive to users of all abilities, and is a vital support network for those affected by Alzheimer’s.
